HIMOINSA is committed to energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies in its facilities.
Today, at Himoinsa, together with the company EMSOLAR, we are presenting our photovoltaic plant installed at our facilities in San Javier (Murcia). In this way, we strengthen our commitment to green energy with the aim of promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies. This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Region of Murcia.
It is a photovoltaic plant made up of solar panels located on the roof of our facilities. It has a power of 550 kW, and will avoid CO2 emissions of 244.9 tCO2/year, which represents a reduction of more than 22.25% compared to current emissions. An annual energy generation of 919,408 kWh is expected, which translates into significant savings in energy consumption.
The project has been favoured by the aid at European level for the Promotion of Energy Efficiency and the use of Renewable Energies framed in the Operational Programme Feder Murcia 2014/2020:
- Objective: Promotion of the use of renewable energies by companies, in particular SMEs.
